“I am The Time Thief. My survivor story will prompt an inner awakening for those who listen. It’s not a musical performance. It’s a remembrance of the before and beyond.” - Angie Haze

Angie Haze isn’t just a singer-songwriter; she’s a sonic architect, a storyteller who bends time and genre with her evocative sound. An award-winning, queer-fronted act, Haze crafts music for the survivor—giving voice to those who have endured childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence. Her songs are anthems of resilience, a call to the unheard, and a force for change—championing equality, Mother Earth, and the Animal Kingdom.

A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, Haze has created a genre of her own: Creepop—a mesmerizing fusion of haunting vocal harmonies, infectious melodies, and eerie yet whimsical textures. Imagine the surreal magic of a Tim Burton film colliding with the eccentric charm of Willy Wonka, and you’ll begin to grasp the atmosphere she conjures. Her music isn’t just something to listen to—it’s something to see, feel, and experience.

Her electrifying live performances, backed by her powerhouse Bandfam—Chrissiper Dudley, André Frazier, Justin Tibbs, and Rachel Osherow—are a spiritual, mind-bending journey. Together, they weave four-part harmonies with layers of saxophone, drums, keyboards, guitars, bass, and a palette of Earthquaker Devices, creating an immersive soundscape that defies convention. “We are more than just bandmates,” Haze says. “We are family, and we want nothing more than to show how music fosters unity in times of adversity and empathy for all.”

Haze’s career is marked by high-profile collaborations and performances. She has toured with Grammy and Emmy-nominated producer David Mayfield, opened for The Avett Brothers as part of The David Mayfield Parade, and shared the stage with Jessica Lea Mayfield. She had the honor of performing at Bernie Sanders’ Working Families Rally as well as his Raise the Minimum Wage Rally. She has opened for Grammy-nominated artist Valerie June and six-time Juno Award-winning, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Serena Ryder.

Her songwriting has earned her recognition on an international scale, with multiple placements as a semi-finalist and finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Her song “I am, You are, We are Enough” won 1st Place People’s Choice Award at the High Arts Festival, and “Fireflies” took home the Akademia Music Award for Best Folk/Americana Song. She was a finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards and, more recently, her record Time Thief won the Gold Award for Best Album in the LIT Competition. In summer 2023, Haze and her Bandfam reached the Quarterfinals in the National Opening Act Competition, drawing the attention of several record labels.

As of November 2022, Angie Haze is officially a signed artist with FBP Music Group.

"I think she has the right ideas for the big time...everything she produces has a twist or quirk to it that makes it interesting and inviting... in all the right ways."

"On stage, Angie is a dynamic performer, but what strikes me most is her bravery. When I first heard her sing, 'Gingerbread Man' I was so transfixed I don't think I breathed. The lyrics and the raw emotion combined with her voice are incredible."

"The Angie Haze Project displays a quirky versatility that few other bands can match. Lyrically, stylistically, musically, emotionally, this album is a many-faceted gem. But whichever side one observes, Angie Haze’s expressive, exquisite voice intertwines and holds the parts together. Everyone is likely to have their favorites, but there are no weak songs here, only strength upon strength."

News and Reviews

"Angie Haze delivered a powerful performance at the Akron Civic Theatre unlike anything I had seen before – and likely, unlike anything I will see again. The experience is still resonating in my heart even two weeks after seeing her show."
